About The Event
The SFS School community gathered for a momentous occasion on 10th June 2024 to welcome Rev. Fr. Melvin P. as the new Vice Principal of the school. The event, graced by the presence of distinguished guests and filled with heartfelt performances, was a fitting tribute to the beginning of a new chapter for the institution.
The ceremony commenced around 8.00 am in the Mermier Block with a warm welcome address by the Associate Program Coordinator, who greeted the esteemed Principal Rev. Fr. George Thomas, Vice-Principals Fr. Rijesh and Fr. Melvin, Coordinators, Teachers, and Students. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as the school community eagerly awaited the introduction of Rev. Fr. Melvin P. into the Desalite family.
Setting a reverent tone for the occasion, the program began with a prayer song. As the soulful melody filled the auditorium, the participants were reminded of the blessings of the Almighty. Following the prayer, the Junior Choir captivated the audience with a melodious welcome song. Their harmonious voices and enthusiastic performance earned a resounding applause, truly making the moment memorable and heartfelt. The formal felicitation of Rev. Fr. Melvin P. was carried out by Fr. Rijesh Thomas. He presented the new Vice Principal with a bouquet and the traditional Gamusa, symbolizing respect and a warm welcome. This gesture was met with warm applause from the audience. Next, Principal Fr. George Thomas took the stage to formally welcome Rev. Fr. Melvin P. His speech was filled with warmth and optimism, reflecting the collective enthusiasm of the school community. Fr. George’s words highlighted the accomplishments and virtues of Rev. Fr. Melvin, ensuring everyone of the positive impact he would bring to the school. Post that Rev. Fr. Melvin P. then addressed the assembly, sharing his thoughts and vision for the future of SFS School. His inspiring message resonated with everyone present. The audience responded with hearty applause, expressing their gratitude and eagerness to support his leadership.
As the program drew to a close, a vote of thanks was extended by the anchor to all those who contributed to the success of the event. In conclusion, the event was a celebration of new beginnings and the promise of a bright future under the guidance of Rev. Fr. Melvin P. The ceremony ended around 8.30 am on a patriotic note with the National Anthem performed by the SFS School Band. The audience stood in unity, paying respect to the nation, before being dismissed with wishes for a wonderful day ahead
