About The Event
On the joyous afternoon of 29th June 2024, the SFS School community gathered to celebrate and honor the birthdays of our dedicated teachers with a special pre-birthday celebration of the Vice Principal, Sr. Josna and acknowledge their outstanding achievements. The event, graced by the presence of the esteemed Principal Rev. Fr. George Thomas, Vice Principal Sister Josna and Fr. Melvin and the entire staff.
The event commenced around 2.10 pm with a warm welcome extended to all attendees by the host, who introduced the birthday celebration segment. The Principal, Rev. Fr. George Thomas, distributed the birthday gifts to all the honored teachers.
A special mention was made for Sister Josna, our esteemed Vice Principal, whose contributions to the institution have been invaluable. Following the gift distribution, the celebratory atmosphere was elevated with a cake-cutting ceremony. Respected Fr. George, Sister Josna, the honored teachers, Fr. Melvin, and the Academic Director joined on stage for this joyful moment, accompanied by a heartfelt rendition of the birthday song from all present.
Ma’am Barsha Das was then invited to the stage to deliver a speech in honor of Sister Josna. She eloquently expressed gratitude and admiration for Sister Josna’s unwavering dedication, wisdom, and leadership. In celebration of Sister Josna’s birthday, a special performance prepared by the teachers was presented. Lucas Sir and Anuradha Ma’am took the stage to lead this heartfelt tribute.
Following this Vice Principal Sister Josna addressed the gathering with a few words, reflecting on her journey and expressing her appreciation for the love and support from the school community. The Principal, Rev. Fr. George Thomas, also delivered an inspiring speech, acknowledging the collective efforts and achievements of the school’s staff and emphasizing the importance of continued dedication and hard work.
Star Teacher Award:
The staff meeting officially commenced with the recognition of outstanding teachers through the ‘Star Teacher’ award. The recipients of this prestigious award were:
Category TGT/PGT - Rachel Sony Newmai
Category PRT - Rinkumoni Barman
They were awarded mementos by the Principal as a token of appreciation for their exceptional contributions.
Awards for 100% Marks in CBSE Board Exams:
The event also celebrated the teachers whose students secured 100% marks in the CBSE Board Examinations, 2024. The following teachers were honored with cash prizes:
-Madam Himasweta Choudhury & Sir Manjil Hazarika for Social Science (Class X)
-Madam Purabi Abha Saikia, Madam Mitali Barua & Sir Surajit Choudhury for Maths (Class X)
-Madam Rashmi Baruah for Computer (Class XII)
-Sir Madhurjya Mahanta for Painting (Class XII)
The event concluded around 4 pm with a note of congratulations to all the awardees for their extraordinary performances and hard work. The Principal expressed hopes for more star teachers and outstanding results in the upcoming session, following snacks for everyone.
