About The Event
The Road Safety Awareness Program at SFS Guwahati, organized in collaboration with Honda, was held from 14th to 16th May 2025 in the Mermier Hall. The three-day program aimed to inculcate a sense of responsibility and awareness among students regarding safe practices on the road.
On Day 1 (14 May 2025), the sessions were conducted for the primary section, covering students of Classes III, IV, and V. The sessions included engaging demonstrations and short videos that helped the young learners understand basic traffic rules, pedestrian safety, and the importance of wearing helmets and seatbelts.
On Day 2 (15 May 2025), the focus shifted to the middle school students of Classes VI, VII, and VIII. The sessions were more interactive, encouraging students to reflect on real-life scenarios and the role of alertness and discipline while on the road.
The final day, Day 3 (16 May 2025), marked the Closing Ceremony of the program. The day began with awareness sessions for Classes IX and XI, where the Honda team conducted live demonstrations highlighting responsible road behavior and preventive safety measures. The event concluded with an inspiring message by Rev. Fr. George Thomas, Principal, SFS Guwahati, who emphasized that safety begins with awareness and consistent practice. The program ended with a Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the Honda representatives and all those who contributed to the initiative’s success.
Through this three-day program, SFS Guwahati reinforced its commitment to nurturing responsible, well-informed, and safety-conscious citizens of tomorrow.
