About The Event
An interactive session for parents along with the PTM (Parent Teacher Meeting) was held at SFS School, Guwahati, on 24th February 2024 which aimed to foster a collaborative environment between parents and the school community. The schedule for the day was meticulously planned to provide valuable insights into various aspects of the school's functioning and to facilitate open communication.
The session commenced with a soulful prayer song, setting a positive tone for the day and extending a warm welcome to all attendees. Soon after the prayer, the school administration extended a warm welcome to parents and the distinguished Resource Person, Dr. John Jose, Associate Professor Department of Computer Science & Engineering IIT Guwahati. He works in the domain of multicore computer architecture. His research group in Multicore Architecture and Systems (MARS) Lab explore various cutting-edge research problems. Dr. John Jose provided valuable insights into Parental relationship with their children. His session contributed to a better understanding of contemporary educational trends and approaches. The gesture emphasized the importance of parental involvement along with the students in the life and educational journey.
Post the insightful session with the esteemed Resource Person, the Academic Director presented the school's academic plan, outlining key strategies, curriculum enhancements, and initiatives aimed at fostering academic excellence. Parents gained valuable insights into the school's vision and mission.
Soon after this, a dedicated session for parents to interact with the school Principal, Rev. Fr. George Thomas provided a platform for addressing queries, concerns, and receiving updates on their child's academic progress as well as in general. The interactive session strengthened the parent-school partnership. A session was also conducted by the System Coordinator about the access of the DESALITE CONNECT , and school social media.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks expressing gratitude to parents, the resource person, and everyone involved in making the PTM a success. The collaborative efforts of all stakeholders were acknowledged. The PTM at SFS School, Guwahati, was a resounding success, providing a platform for meaningful engagement between parents, teachers, and school administrators. The carefully curated schedule addressed various aspects of the educational experience and fostered a sense of community within the school.
